| Paradise Valley
Paradise Valley is actually two separate communities,
located within the Phoenix city limits. The first
is the Town of Paradise Valley, consisting mainly
of elite, high priced homes in the Sonoran Desert
Hills or tucked behind estate walls. This area, located
just north of Camelback Mountain, is almost entirely
residential. It encompasses several resorts, as well
as exclusive shops and restaurants. The second is
Greater Paradise Valley, situated around Paradise
Valley Mall. This area contains retail developments,
apartments, condominiums, single family homes and
town homes as well as small estates with horse privileges
and several golf courses. The area is known for its
excellent schools and overall quality of family life.
The median age in Greater Paradise Valley is 35, with
median income just over $50,000. The median home value
is $180,000.

Desert Ridge, a master-planned community over 5,700
acres in size is Paradise Valley’s largest.
It includes residential housing as well as the fabulous
newly opened 950 room J.W. Marriott Desert Ridge Resort
and Spa, whose Wildfire Golf Club is home to two 18-hole
championship golf courses. The spectacular 1,000 acre
Desert Ridge Marketplace features shops, restaurants,
an 18-screen movie theater complex with state-of-the-art
sound and stadium style seating, as well as open air
concerts and events, making it a popular gathering
site for friends and a great date-night destination.
Paradise Valley Community College has a large and
ever expanding campus, and branches of Ottawa University,
University of Phoenix and Rio Salado Community College
are located here as well. Paradise Valley Hospital
meets the medical needs of the community, and Mayo
Clinic is close by, so residents are always well taken
care of.
